1 Now there cried6817 a certain259 woman802 of the wives4480 802 of the sons1121 of the prophets5030 unto413 Elisha,477 saying,559 Thy servant5650 my husband376 is dead;4191 and thou859 knowest3045 that3588 thy servant5650 did1961 fear3372 853 the LORD:3068 and the creditor5383 is come935 to take3947 unto him853 my two8147 sons3206 to be bondmen.5650

2 And Elisha477 said559 unto413 her, What4100 shall I do6213 for thee? tell5046 me, what4100 hast3426 thou in the house?1004 And she said,559 Thine handmaid8198 hath not369 any thing3605 in the house,1004 save3588 518 a pot610 of oil.8081

3 Then he said,559 Go,1980 borrow7592 thee vessels3627 abroad4480 2351 of4480 854 all3605 thy neighbors,7934 even empty7386 vessels;3627 borrow not a few.408 4591

4 And when thou art come in,935 thou shalt shut5462 the door1817 upon1157 thee and upon1157 thy sons,1121 and shalt pour out3332 into5921 all3605 those428 vessels,3627 and thou shalt set aside5265 that which is full.4392

5 So she went1980 from4480 854 him, and shut5462 the door1817 upon1157 her and upon1157 her sons,1121 who1992 brought5066 the vessels to413 her; and she1931 poured out.3332

6 And it came to pass,1961 when the vessels3627 were full,4390 that she said559 unto413 her son,1121 Bring5066 413 me yet5750 a vessel.3627 And he said559 unto413 her, There is not369 a vessel3627 more.5750 And the oil8081 stayed.5975

7 Then she came935 and told5046 the man376 of God.430 And he said,559 Go,1980 sell4376 853 the oil,8081 and pay7999 853 thy debt,5386 and live2421 thou859 and thy children1121 of the rest.3498

8 And it fell1961 on a day,3117 that Elisha477 passed5674 to413 Shunem,7766 where8033 was a great1419 woman;802 and she constrained2388 him to eat398 bread.3899 And so it was,1961 that as oft4480 1767 as he passed by,5674 he turned in5493 thither8033 to eat398 bread.3899

9 And she said559 unto413 her husband,376 Behold2009 now,4994 I perceive3045 that3588 this1931 is a holy6918 man376 of God,430 which passeth by5674 5921 us continually.8548

10 Let us make6213 a little6996 chamber,5944 I pray thee,4994 on the wall;7023 and let us set7760 for him there8033 a bed,4296 and a table,7979 and a stool,3678 and a candlestick:4501 and it shall be,1961 when he cometh935 to413 us, that he shall turn in5493 thither.8033

11 And it fell1961 on a day,3117 that he came935 thither,8033 and he turned5493 into413 the chamber,5944 and lay7901 there.8033

12 And he said559 to413 Gehazi1522 his servant,5288 Call7121 this2063 Shunammite.7767 And when he had called7121 her, she stood5975 before6440 him.

13 And he said559 unto him, Say559 now4994 unto413 her, Behold,2009 thou hast been careful2729 for413 us with854 all3605 this2063 care;2731 what4100 is to be done6213 for thee? wouldest3426 thou be spoken1696 for to413 the king,4428 or176 to413 the captain8269 of the host?6635 And she answered,559 I595 dwell3427 among8432 mine own people.5971

14 And he said,559 What4100 then is to be done6213 for her? And Gehazi1522 answered,559 Verily61 she hath no369 child,1121 and her husband376 is old.2204

15 And he said,559 Call7121 her. And when he had called7121 her, she stood5975 in the door.6607

16 And he said,559 About this2088 season,4150 according to the time6256 of life,2416 thou859 shalt embrace2263 a son.1121 And she said,559 Nay,408 my lord,113 thou man376 of God,430 do not lie3576 408 unto thine handmaid.8198

17 And the woman802 conceived,2029 and bore3205 a son1121 at that2088 season4150 that834 Elisha477 had said1696 unto413 her, according to the time6256 of life.2416

18 And when the child3206 was grown,1431 it fell1961 on a day,3117 that he went out3318 to413 his father1 to413 the reapers.7114

19 And he said559 unto413 his father,1 My head,7218 my head.7218 And he said559 to413 a lad,5288 Carry5375 him to413 his mother.517

20 And when he had taken5375 him, and brought935 him to413 his mother,517 he sat3427 on5921 her knees1290 till5704 noon,6672 and then died.4191

21 And she went up,5927 and laid7901 him on5921 the bed4296 of the man376 of God,430 and shut5462 the door upon1157 him, and went out.3318

22 And she called7121 unto413 her husband,376 and said,559 Send7971 me, I pray thee,4994 one259 of4480 the young men,5288 and one259 of the asses,860 that I may run7323 to5704 the man376 of God,430 and come again.7725

23 And he said,559 Wherefore4069 wilt thou859 go1980 to413 him today?3117 it is neither3808 new moon,2320 nor3808 sabbath.7676 And she said,559 It shall be well.7965

24 Then she saddled2280 an ass,860 and said559 to413 her servant,5288 Drive,5090 and go forward;1980 slack6113 not408 thy riding7392 for me, except3588 518 I bid559 thee.

25 So she went1980 and came935 unto413 the man376 of God430 to413 mount2022 Carmel.3760 And it came to pass,1961 when the man376 of God430 saw7200 her afar off,4480 5048 that he said559 to413 Gehazi1522 his servant,5288 Behold,2009 yonder is that1975 Shunammite: 7767

26 Run7323 now,6258 I pray thee,4994 to meet7122 her, and say559 unto her, Is it well7965 with thee? is it well7965 with thy husband?376 is it well7965 with the child?3206 And she answered,559 It is well.7965

27 And when she came935 to413 the man376 of God430 to413 the hill,2022 she caught2388 him by the feet:7272 but Gehazi1522 came near5066 to thrust her away.1920 And the man376 of God430 said,559 Let her alone;7503 for3588 her soul5315 is vexed4843 within her: and the LORD3068 hath hid5956 it from4480 me, and hath not3808 told5046 me.

28 Then she said,559 Did I desire7592 a son1121 of4480 854 my lord?113 did I not3808 say,559 Do not3808 deceive7952 me?

29 Then he said559 to Gehazi,1522 Gird up2296 thy loins,4975 and take3947 my staff4938 in thine hand,3027 and go thy way:1980 if3588 thou meet4672 any man,376 salute1288 him not;3808 and if3588 any376 salute1288 thee, answer6030 him not3808 again: and lay7760 my staff4938 upon5921 the face6440 of the child.5288

30 And the mother517 of the child5288 said,559 As the LORD3068 liveth,2416 and as thy soul5315 liveth,2416 I will not518 leave5800 thee. And he arose,6965 and followed1980 310 her.

31 And Gehazi1522 passed on5674 before6440 them, and laid7760 853 the staff4938 upon5921 the face6440 of the child;5288 but there was neither369 voice,6963 nor369 hearing.7182 Wherefore he went again7725 to meet7122 him, and told5046 him, saying,559 The child5288 is not3808 awaked.6974

32 And when Elisha477 was come935 into the house,1004 behold,2009 the child5288 was dead,4191 and laid7901 upon5921 his bed.4296

33 He went in935 therefore, and shut5462 the door1817 upon1157 them twain,8147 and prayed6419 unto413 the LORD.3068

34 And he went up,5927 and lay7901 upon5921 the child,3206 and put7760 his mouth6310 upon5921 his mouth,6310 and his eyes5869 upon5921 his eyes,5869 and his hands3709 upon5921 his hands:3709 and he stretched1457 himself upon5921 the child; and the flesh1320 of the child3206 waxed warm.2552

35 Then he returned,7725 and walked1980 in the house1004 to and fro;259 2008 259 2008 and went up,5927 and stretched1457 himself upon5921 him: and the child5288 sneezed2237 5704 seven7651 times,6471 and the child5288 opened6491 853 his eyes.5869

36 And he called7121 413 Gehazi,1522 and said,559 Call7121 413 this2063 Shunammite.7767 So he called7121 her. And when she was come935 in unto413 him, he said,559 Take up5375 thy son.1121

37 Then she went in,935 and fell5307 at5921 his feet,7272 and bowed herself7812 to the ground,776 and took up5375 853 her son,1121 and went out.3318

38 And Elisha477 came again7725 to Gilgal:1537 and there was a dearth7458 in the land;776 and the sons1121 of the prophets5030 were sitting3427 before6440 him: and he said559 unto his servant,5288 Set on8239 the great1419 pot,5518 and seethe1310 pottage5138 for the sons1121 of the prophets.5030

39 And one259 went out3318 into413 the field7704 to gather3950 herbs,219 and found4672 a wild7704 vine,1612 and gathered3950 thereof4480 wild7704 gourds6498 his lap899 full,4393 and came935 and shred6398 them into413 the pot5518 of pottage:5138 for3588 they knew3045 them not.3808

40 So they poured out3332 for the men376 to eat.398 And it came to pass,1961 as they were eating398 of the pottage,4480 5138 that they1992 cried out,6817 and said,559 O thou man376 of God,430 there is death4194 in the pot.5518 And they could3201 not3808 eat398 thereof.

41 But he said,559 Then bring3947 meal.7058 And he cast7993 it into413 the pot;5518 and he said,559 Pour out3332 for the people,5971 that they may eat.398 And there was1961 no3808 harm1697 7451 in the pot.5518

42 And there came935 a man376 from Baal-shalisha,4480 1190 and brought935 the man376 of God430 bread3899 of the firstfruits,1061 twenty6242 loaves3899 of barley,8184 and full ears of corn3759 in the husk6861 thereof. And he said,559 Give5414 unto the people,5971 that they may eat.398

43 And his servitor8334 said,559 What,4100 should I set5414 this2088 before6440 a hundred3967 men?376 He said559 again, Give5414 the people,5971 that they may eat:398 for3588 thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 They shall eat,398 and shall leave3498 thereof.

44 So he set5414 it before6440 them, and they did eat,398 and left3498 thereof, according to the word1697 of the LORD.3068

12 告其從者其哈西曰、呼書念婦至此、旣呼立於前

13 以利沙告從者曰、爾當告婦曰、爾旣爲我慮之周密、我當爲爾何爲、或請於王、或請於軍長、婦曰、我居於民間、無不自得

14 以利沙又告從者曰、當爲之何爲、其哈西曰、婦尚無子、其夫年邁、

15 曰、再呼之至、旣呼之、立於門

16 以利沙曰、明年屆期、爾必誕育、曰、我主上帝之僕歟、毋欺爾婢、

17 厥後婦果懷妊、屆期生子、應以利沙之言、

18 子少長、一日往於田、見父在衆穫者所、

19 告父曰、我首有疾、如是者再、父使僕攜歸見母、

20 旣攜之至、母懷抱之、日中卽死、

21 母負之登樓置於上帝僕之牀、閉門而出、

22 語夫曰、請遣一僕攜驢而至、我欲趨至上帝僕所而回、

23 夫曰、今日非朔日、亦非安息日、欲往何爲、婦曰、此行必得平康、

24 於是備驢告僕曰、驅驢前往、未得我命、爾驅勿懈、

25 遂往加密山、就上帝僕所、上帝之僕遙見之、告其從者其哈西曰、書念婦至矣、

26 爾當趨迓之、間曰、爾安乎、爾夫安乎、爾子安乎、婦曰、安、

27 陟山至上帝僕所、而抱其足、其哈西前、欲行驅逐、上帝之僕曰、勿阻之、其中心彌苦矣、耶和華隱於我而不告、

17 厥後婦果懷妊、屆期生子、應以利沙之言、

18 子少長、一日往於田、見父在衆穫者所、

30 子之母曰、我指耶和華以誓、亦指爾生命以誓、我必不離爾、以利沙遂起偕行、

31 And Gehazi1522 passed on5674 before6440 them, and laid7760 853 the staff4938 upon5921 the face6440 of the child;5288 but there was neither369 voice,6963 nor369 hearing.7182 Wherefore he went again7725 to meet7122 him, and told5046 him, saying,559 The child5288 is not3808 awaked.6974

31 其哈西先至、置杖於子面、子無聲響、漠然不覺、其哈西反命曰、子猶未醒、

32 And when Elisha477 was come935 into the house,1004 behold,2009 the child5288 was dead,4191 and laid7901 upon5921 his bed.4296

32 以利沙入室、見子已死、尸在於牀、

33 He went in935 therefore, and shut5462 the door1817 upon1157 them twain,8147 and prayed6419 unto413 the LORD.3068

33 遂閉室門、祈禱耶和華、

34 And he went up,5927 and lay7901 upon5921 the child,3206 and put7760 his mouth6310 upon5921 his mouth,6310 and his eyes5869 upon5921 his eyes,5869 and his hands3709 upon5921 his hands:3709 and he stretched1457 himself upon5921 the child; and the flesh1320 of the child3206 waxed warm.2552

34 登牀伏於子身、口與口相對、目與目相對、手與手相對、於是子體始溫、

35 Then he returned,7725 and walked1980 in the house1004 to and fro;259 2008 259 2008 and went up,5927 and stretched1457 himself upon5921 him: and the child5288 sneezed2237 5704 seven7651 times,6471 and the child5288 opened6491 853 his eyes.5869

35 遂下行於室中、又上、伏於子身、子發嚏七、旋啟其目

36 And he called7121 413 Gehazi,1522 and said,559 Call7121 413 this2063 Shunammite.7767 So he called7121 her. And when she was come935 in unto413 him, he said,559 Take up5375 thy son.1121

36 以利沙告其阿西曰、呼書念婦至、乃呼之、入告曰、當抱爾子、

37 Then she went in,935 and fell5307 at5921 his feet,7272 and bowed herself7812 to the ground,776 and took up5375 853 her son,1121 and went out.3318

37 婦俯伏於地、抱子而出、

38 And Elisha477 came again7725 to Gilgal:1537 and there was a dearth7458 in the land;776 and the sons1121 of the prophets5030 were sitting3427 before6440 him: and he said559 unto his servant,5288 Set on8239 the great1419 pot,5518 and seethe1310 pottage5138 for the sons1121 of the prophets.5030

38 以利沙又至吉甲、歲大饑、先知之徒、坐於其前、乃命從者曰、置巨釜於火、爲先知之徒煮羹、

39 And one259 went out3318 into413 the field7704 to gather3950 herbs,219 and found4672 a wild7704 vine,1612 and gathered3950 thereof4480 wild7704 gourds6498 his lap899 full,4393 and came935 and shred6398 them into413 the pot5518 of pottage:5138 for3588 they knew3045 them not.3808

39 人往於田、以斂菜蔬、遇野藤而摘其瓜、盈於懷中、旣至剖而投之釜、與菜同煮、蓋不識故也、

40 So they poured out3332 for the men376 to eat.398 And it came to pass,1961 as they were eating398 of the pottage,4480 5138 that they1992 cried out,6817 and said,559 O thou man376 of God,430 there is death4194 in the pot.5518 And they could3201 not3808 eat398 thereof.

40 杓出共食、食時呼曰、上帝之僕歟、釜中有毒、遂不能食、

41 But he said,559 Then bring3947 meal.7058 And he cast7993 it into413 the pot;5518 and he said,559 Pour out3332 for the people,5971 that they may eat.398 And there was1961 no3808 harm1697 7451 in the pot.5518

41 以利沙曰、攜粉至此、遂投於釜、曰、可杓之出、以供人食、於是釜中之毒已解、

42 And there came935 a man376 from Baal-shalisha,4480 1190 and brought935 the man376 of God430 bread3899 of the firstfruits,1061 twenty6242 loaves3899 of barley,8184 and full ears of corn3759 in the husk6861 thereof. And he said,559 Give5414 unto the people,5971 that they may eat.398

42 有人自巴力沙利沙至、以初實之穀爲餅、麰麥之饅首二十、更以嘉穗藏於囊、俱獻於上帝之僕、上帝之僕曰、以此供給乎衆、使共食之、

43 And his servitor8334 said,559 What,4100 should I set5414 this2088 before6440 a hundred3967 men?376 He said559 again, Give5414 the people,5971 that they may eat:398 for3588 thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 They shall eat,398 and shall leave3498 thereof.

43 從者曰、以此供給百人將若何、曰、可供厥衆、蓋耶和華云、其必食足而有餘、

44 So he set5414 it before6440 them, and they did eat,398 and left3498 thereof, according to the word1697 of the LORD.3068

44 遂供給之、衆食已足、尚有餘焉、以應耶和華之言、
